Transformational leadership entails influencing followers through a complex and interrelated set of behaviors and abilities. These include:
(1) anticipating future trends;
(2)inspiring followers to understand and embrace a new vision of possibilities;
(3) developing others to be leaders or better leaders; and
(4) building the organization or group into a community of challenged and rewarded learners.The transformational leadership model extends and incorporates features of the attribution, transactional, and charismatic models of leadership.
The components of the transformational model that primarily relate to followers include inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, idealized influence, and individualized consideration.
The GLOBE model examines the interrelationships between societal culture, organizational culture, and organizational leadership.
